Team Shovels of Doom
We are four 6th & 7th grade LEGO® builders participating in the FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) Challenge with BadgerBots. This season of FLL Challenge is called UNEARTHED and is archaeology-themed. Our team built a LEGO® robot and programmed it to perform tasks at a mock dig site. We are also collecting LEGOs® and donations for our Innovation Project. We will sell the LEGOs® and donate all proceeds to 2 local non-profit archaeological societies:
- Wisconsin Archaeological Society
- Center for Wisconsin Archaeology
Donate LEGOs® for our project:
- at BadgerBots
- at Miggy’s Bakes, Middleton: collection bin is available Tues-Sat 11am-8pm
- at Crossroads Coffeehouse, Cross Plains: collection bin is available Sun-Tues 6am-3pm, Wed-Sat 6am-8pm
- by emailing our team at ShovelsOfDoom@gmail.com

***Every brick counts…we will take any LEGO® brand brick, part or set (put together or still in the box) you are willing to donate***

Shovels of Doom has a fundraising event on Saturday, November 15 where we will be collecting donations AND selling LEGOs®.

Come to our fundraiser at:

Miggy’s Bakes
Saturday, November 15

6712 Frank Lloyd Wright Ave, Middleton
Help Shovels of Doom have a successful fundraising project by donating LEGOs® to our team, buying LEGOs® from us or by donating funds to support these non-profit archaeological organizations!!!

LEGO® Robot Challenge
We designed and built a box-style LEGO® robot and programmed it to autonomously complete as many of the 15 challenges as we can in 2 minutes & 30 seconds. Our team designed different interchangeable "tools" that can be added/removed quickly to help our robot accomplish different tasks. We programmed our robot using block coding.

Innovation Project
For the Innovation Project, the challenge for teams is to identify a problem faced by archaeologists. Shovels of Doom came up with many ideas, but we decided the biggest challenge for archaeologists is funding. Our team chose to support local archaeological organizations by collecting LEGO® donations and then selling those LEGOs® to raise funds. Shovels of Doom will present our project design and solution to a group of judges at our FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) Challenge tournament in December.
