A History of outreach

In 2010 our team created the BadgerBOTS Robotics Corporation which was granted 501c(3) nonprofit status. Shortly after in 2011, we established the BadgerBOTS Education Center in Middleton, WI. Our center is open to the entire community and supports many other FIRST robotics teams. This center serves as a home base for all our outreach initiatives. Past examples of outreach include demonstrating our robots at schools, working with underrepresented groups in STEM, and creating online summer camps in response to COVID-19. In 2020, the FIRST program recognized these efforts by selecting us as the Wisconsin Regional Chairman’s winners for the fifth time in our team’s history.
