Founded in 2004, Team 1306 is a FIRST Robotics team composed of 41 high school students from across the Madison area. We operate under BadgerBOTS Robotics Corp. a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Beyond competition, we are dedicated to expanding STEM education and opportunities in the community. As an independent, community-based team, we welcome students from 6 different high schools, providing hands-on experience in design, programming, and engineering; additionally, we mentor younger students, host STEM outreach events, and advocate for robotics education, ensuring that STEM remains accessible and inspiring for future generations. Some of the ways we encourage STEM education include helping other local FRC and FTC teams around us, like hosting events, and continuing to advertise robotics to groups outside robotics, like throwing the first pitch at the Madison Mallards baseball games.
